Jasmine “Jas” Jones is the film curator at the Houston Museum of African American Culture (HMAAC). In 2020, under Jasmine’s curatorial leadership, HMAAC was awarded the inaugural ARRAY grant which was used to produce pop-up drive-in movie theaters in Houston’s historic Third Ward neighborhood, safely bringing folks together to enjoy classic Black cinema. She’s worked with the Houston Cinema Arts Society, QFest: Houston’s International LGBT Film Festival, and DOC NYC, as well as been an integral part of several marketing campaigns for major motion pictures.
